Understanding Your Score
Total Score Range: 24–120
-
24–47: Minimal Burnout
You’re likely experiencing a manageable level of stress and sensory load. Your energy may feel steady, and you’re coping well with current demands.
-
48–83: Moderate Burnout
Your responses suggest some signs of burnout—like fatigue, irritability, or masking strain—but these symptoms may come and go. Recovery might still be accessible with rest or support.
-
84–120: Severe Burnout
You may be in a state of intense autistic burnout. This might include overwhelming exhaustion, sensory shutdowns, difficulty masking, and emotional withdrawal. Daily functioning may feel effortful or unsustainable.
Support for Burnout Recovery
If your score is high, know that you're not broken—you’re burned out. Your body and brain are responding to chronic overload, not failing.
Autistic burnout often results from living in environments that demand more than you can consistently give, especially without proper rest or support.
With care, pacing, and neurodivergent-affirming help, it’s possible to regain energy, reestablish boundaries, and begin feeling like yourself again.
